Original parking brake handle assembly as used in 1967 1968 Mustang GT Cougar XR7 Shelby 350 500 models. A brand new handle has been installed using a custom pin installation tool so no damage to handle or shaft. The parking brake switch was found to be non-functional. It was disassembled where contacts were found to be oxidized and the tiny spring was fractured. Contacts were cleaned, as well as the enclosure and all bits, a new stainless steel spring was installed, everything lubed and reassembled. Now it works fine! You can buy a new reproduction handle, but you won't get any of the other mounting hardware, cable, fasteners, clips etc. You will also not get a new switch. With new AND used switches are available for mid 100 up to $200, this is a bargain deal for someone! I will eventually be selling the small springs so that you can do this task yourself, but not at the moment. I need to develop documentation to go with the springs as this is not a job for everyone!
